Google Chrome is out of Beta

Google Chrome shed the Beta tag after 100 days of its initial launch. Google says chrome has 10 million active users . Chrome holds a 1% share in the browser market.

Chrome still needs to support plugins. This is one reason why i feel people dont stick to chrome. Internet users need plugins like stumbleupon etc to enhance their browsing experience.

Chrome still has a long way to go!

Google Friend Connect

Google Friend Connect is a tool by google which lets internet users to connect with friends and users of a particular website.

I have created Google Friend Connect for Techdosa. I seriously do not have much information on whether it improves your traffic or not. First looks it looks like mybloglog to me.

Google enters Browser market with Google Chrome

Google knows the pulse of people and its their long vision that has taken them this far. The very thought that the billions of internet users spend the time online in a browser, be with mail, chat rooms, searching or anything. Google want to cash in this traffic also, so here it is Google Chrome.

Google Chrome according to google is a fast and clean browser. In Google Chrome each tab in an isolated “sandbox” and is able to prevent one tab from crashing another and provide improved protection from rogue sites. Google also built a more powerful JavaScript engine, V8, to power the next generation of web applications that aren’t even possible in today’s browsers.

Benefits Chrome would bring to google if its a success

  • More advertisement space, lets expect some text adds in this browser later on
  • Google can know the entire browsing trends of users
